Having ended last season in the Nigeria Premier Football League as top goalscorer of Plateau United with 12 goals, contractual issues ensured Albert Hillary did not return to the club at the beginning of the current season.
Hillary’s return to the side came as early as Matchday 5 when Ikorodu City visited but a hamstring injury ensured he stayed off action for sustained periods in the first round.
His return to full action saw him feature on Matchday 20 against Rivers United in Jos and since then he has continued on an upward trajectory, scoring the unusual goals that defy physics but count in numbers.
A goal against 3SC of Ibadan on Matchday 22 and another on Matchday 25 against Ikorodu City in Lagos only provide glimpse of a resurging striker who continues just exactly where he had stopped from last season.
Hillary remains an attacking stalwart and remains unpredictably dominant for scoring all types of goals.
