Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) newcomers, Ikorodu City, have signed goalkeeper James Faith from Inter Lagos in time for their first match against Kano Pillars this Sunday.

The Oga Boys handed the goalkeeper a two-year contract that will see him stay with the Lagos club until 2026.

“Ikorodu City have officially completed the signing of goalkeeper James Faith from Inter Lagos for the coming Nigeria Premier Football League season.

“James Faith has signed a two year deal with Ikorodu City and will be a part of the club’s debut season in the country’s top flight league,” the club announced on their official website on Wednesday.

Ikorodu City have tracked the performances of Faith since last season especially in their head-to-head meetings in the second tier, the Nigeria National League (NNL) and in the President Federation Cup.

The Lagos club begin life in the top division this Sunday when they make the trip to Katsina where they face former NPFL champions, Kano Pillars, at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.
