Katsina United and Plateau United produced four goals in Saturday’s standalone fixture of the EUROMATCH-NPFL after playing a 2-2 draw at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.

‎

‎Nura Abdulbari came close to opening the scoring for Katsina United in the 16th minute but failed to convert.

‎

‎On 30 minutes, Victor Dawa’s corner was glanced into the net for an own goal to give Plateau United the lead.

‎

‎Gbenga Ogunbote’s men held onto their lead into the break despite a wave of attack from Katsina United.

‎

‎The match did not offer much in the second half until the final 10 minutes which produced three goals.

‎

‎Plateau United doubled their lead on 82 minutes after Jibril Ibrahim was played through on goal by Nenrot Silas to put the ball beyond Katsina United goalkeeper Francis Koroma.

‎

‎At that point, it seemed the game was sealed by Plateau United until two minutes later when substitute Yusha’u Armiya’u popped up with what looked like a consolation strike at first to make the scoreline 2-1.

‎

‎In stoppage time, another substitute Umar Rabiu equalized for Katsina United from close range to ensure they earn a point out of no where.

‎

‎Rabiu’s late goal denied Plateau United a chance to claim their first away win and also saved Katsina United the blushes of a first defeat at home this season.

‎

‎Matchday 10 continues with seven games on Sunday including unbeaten table-topping Rivers United up for a big test at Bendel Insurance.
