Former Super Eagles assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf, has been hired to lead Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in the new season.


‎The club announced the appointment of Yusuf on Friday as their new technical adviser/head coach after ending their relationship with Nurudeen Aweroro during the week.


‎”We are delighted to announce the appointment of Coach Salisu Yusuf as the club’s new Technical Adviser,” the Ibadan club said in a statement.


‎Yusuf’s appointment comes 14 days before the start of the NPFL season in which Shooting Stars play hosts to new boys, Inter Lagos in the opening game of the campaign.


‎The club believes that Yusuf, who has worked with Rangers, Kano Pillars, Nasarawa United and the men’s national team, “will bring strong leadership, tactical expertise and a winning mentality to the Oluyole Warriors.”


‎”The club is confident that Coach Salisu Yusuf will bring strong leadership, tactical expertise and a winning mentality to the Oluyole Warriors as we pursue our ambitions across domestic and continental competitions,” the club stated.


‎Yusuf last worked as head coach of Benin Republic club, Coton Sport FC.
