Rangers International head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, is hoping to build on their 2-0 victory over Ikorodu City as they make the trip to Yenagoa where they face Bayelsa United in a Matchday 23 fixture in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this Sunday.

Ilechukwu’s men saw off City 2-0 last matchday with Godwin Obaje and Isaac Saviour scoring the goals and now the former Heartland and Plateau United coach has his eyes set on finishing the campaign strong in a season they are defending their title.

The Rangers boss also played down talks of pressure in defending their title in the wake of inconsistent performances.

“No doubt, we are going to build on the win we achieved against Ikorodu City at home and push for a positive finish to our campaign this season.

“Sure, we are not under any pressure again and the boys understand what is at stake as defending champions and I believe in their abilities to deliver the goods hence forth,” said Ilechukwu.

Rangers face Bayelsa United this Sunday at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa from 4pm.
