
Barau FC captain, Salim Ali, has expressed confidence that the club will secure maximum points against Bayelsa United on Sunday in their NPFL Matchday 2 fixture.
The Maliya Boys will face Bayelsa United in an away clash on at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State and Salim believes they can take the full points off the former champions.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, Salim shared his optimism and highlighted the positive spirit within the squad.
“We thank God for a safe arrival here in Yenagoa. My teammates are in good condition, and I want to assure our fans that, by God’s grace, we will return to Kano with all three points,” Salim told the club’s media.
The goalkeeper, who made his NPFL debut against Enyimba last Sunday, kept a clean sheet in that match and is in Ladan Bosso’s matchday squad and will hope to make it two clean sheets in two appearances.
