
Kwara United have unveiled their new signings for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The club signed 18 new players to reshuffle their playing personnel for the campaign which start on Friday with champions Remo Stars and Rivers United playing out a 1-1 draw.
The new arrivals comprise seven attackers, four midfielders, five defenders, and two goalkeepers, which the club stated is “aimed at giving the Harmony Boys a competitive edge in the upcoming campaign.”
Top among the new signings are goalkeeper Kazeem Yekini (Yekeen), who makes a return to the side. The Harmony Boys have also brought in other notable names such as Mubarak Said, Seun Ogunribide, Toheeb Gidado, Bright Babatunde.
Kwara United have further promoted three players from their Under-19 team. They are Sheriff Kolawole, Mohammed Alege and Somtochukwu Ezenabo.
The club have also retained 14 players from last season while 13 have left.
Kwara United begin their campaign this Sunday when they play hosts to Ikorodu City at the Kwara Sports Stadium in Ilorin.
