Nasarawa United have officially unveiled their new signings for the new Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season and in time for their opening game at Niger Tornadoes this Sunday.
The Solid Miners have brought in 17 new players who were introduced to the club fans and media their Lafia City Stadium home ground on Thursday.
The new signings include goalkeeper Ovunda Darlintin (from Akwa United), Olawale Olajide (from Dragons FC of Benin Republic), Vincent Akpikpi (from Bendel Insurance), Victor Ekioke (from Lobi Stars), Paul Itim (from Lobi Stars), Ikemdinachi Imo Prince (from Enyimba), Lawal Akanni (from Kwara United), Gozie Umeh (from Enyimba), Olughu Onu Chinemerem (from Ikorodu City) and Moses Botia Tsetuan (from Lobi Stars).
Others are Jofrank Instifanus (from Camp Pro FC of Abuja), Oladeji Joshua (from Crown FC), Sunusi Alhaji Audu (from Mighty Jets), Ojo Johnson (from City FC of Abuja), Eshimutu Gomina (from Kano Pillars), Nnoli Samuel (from Global Peace Academy) and Ogodo Samuel (from Adamawa United).

“This is a new stage of my professional career. I look forward to a better outing with Nasarawa United compared to the previous one,” said Ovunda.
Akpikpi, on the other hand, hopes to hit the ground running for the Lafia club after seeking second opinions from “professional colleagues” before signing up for Nasarawa United.
“I have heard so much about Nasarawa United from my professional colleagues. I am glad I am here to contribute my best to the success of the team,” the midfielder who joined from Bendel Insurance said.
Tsetuan, who played for Lobi Stars last season, views his accepting to pull on the colours of Nasarawa United as a reunion with the Lafia club where he featured for them 13 times in the 2019/20 season.
The centre-back, who has made more than 100 NPFL appearances, is keen on helping the Solid Miners in their quest for an improved outing this season.
“It feels so good to be back to where I once played and contributed largely to the team’s success.
“I promise to continue from where I last stopped, but this time round, I will redouble my efforts to help the team achieve its set goals,” Tsehuan said.
Itim was bold with his ambition for the season. He did not hold back by stating that he is at the club to win the league title, the President Federation Cup and help claim a place in one of CAF club competitions.
“My task here is to help the team win the NPFL, FA Cup and secure continental slot, all things being equal,” Itim stated.
The NPFL begins this Friday with champions, Remo Stars and Rivers United facing at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena from 4pm Nigerian time.
