In a clear statement of intent for the upcoming Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) 2025/26 season, eight-time champions, Rangers International, have completed the signing of Stephen Jesam Emmanuel from Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Doma United.

The move undersocres Rangers’ busy schedule in the transfer window as the Enugu club continue to assemble their playing personnel under the watch of head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu ahead of the coming campaign.

The signing ceremony, held midweek at the club’s corporate office boardroom in GRA, Enugu, saw the young, powerful centre forward brimming with enthusiasm about the new campaign.

“I am really glad to have been able to convince the club’s selectors of what I can do on the pitch,” said Jesam after signing for Rangers.

“It is the dream of every footballer to pass through a big club like Rangers with great records. I believe I will continue to do what the coaches and scouting team saw in me in my last club to help Rangers achieve its goals in the coming season and beyond.”

Jesam, who has previously featured for clubs like City FC and Sporting Supreme FC, is expected to be officially unveiled to the media alongside other new recruits in the coming days at an elaborate ceremony.

The NPFL season will kick off on August 22.
