As the Matchday 8 of the Nigeria Premier Football League encounter between Abia Warriors and Plateau United draws near, the Warriors say they are looking forward to redeeming their battered image with a good performance.
This thought was shared by Abia Warriors centre-back, Collins Nwoburuoke, while speaking with the club’s media.
Umu Chineke lost 3-0 to Nasarawa United in Lafia, in a mid week fixture, a result that came as a shock to the teeming fans and supporters of the club and Nwoburuoke while speaking with the club’s media, assured them of victory in the next league game.
“First of all, I’ll like to say it wasn’t the result we were expecting because, we put our all in that game. It’s football, and I’m saying to Abia Warriors fans that in our next game, we are going to do better. I’m assuring them that in our next game, we are going to get the points back. They should believe in us; they should trust us”, he said.
The Ikwerre-born defender also stated that the mood in the camp is quite positive.
“I spoke to some of the players and everybody is in high spirit because, we have to get the job done in our next game,” Nwoburuoke said.
