Enyimba head coach, Yemi Olanrewaju also known as Yema is not dismissing their Matchday 7 opponents, Niger Tornadoes ahead of their meeting this Wednesday in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Yema acknowledged that the Minna club have been impressive on their road trips since the start of this season which has seen them take six points out of nine.
The Enyimba coach assured that his team “would be ready” to face Niger Tornadoes and take the full points off them.
“We know it’s going to be a difficult game. They haven’t won at their home and they have done better at away matches.
“Having drawn against Lobi Stars at home last weekend, they would want to come and get something but we know their tactics.
“We would be ready for for them. In the past three games we’ve been having clean sheets and we want to maintain that to gather as much points as possible to put pressure on Remo Stars and Rivers United at the top of the table,” he told Enyimba Media.
Enyimba captain, Alalibo Somiari, on the other hand, oozed with confidence, saying they would defeat Niger Tornadoes.
Somiari expects their opponents to give them a run for the full points but believes the People’s Elephant will get the job done at the end of 90 minutes.
“We are expecting nothing than victory, because we know what is at stake. No team is a pushover and we know they will come to give us a good fight but we would come out victorious,” Somiari told the club’s media.
Last time out when both teams met in this corresponding fixture, Enyimba won 3-1. Alade Muyiwa Balogun, Elijah Akanni and Uche Collins scored for Enyimba while Akintunde Azeez.
