Heartland FC are in Ibadan for their second away game of the season against Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in one of the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 4 fixtures.

The game is slated for the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan by 5:30pm on Sunday in a repeat of last season’s fixture which ended goalless while erstwhile gaffer, Kennedy Boboye was still in charge of the team.

The Naze Millionaires have had a mixed outcomes in their opening three games to the campaign. They lost by identical 3-1 scorelines at home to Enyimba and at Rivers United, and then followed it up by getting their first season’s point at home to Katsina United in a game they dominated and could have won if they were not wasteful in front of goal.

Having gone through special drills to master the act of goal conversion, Heartland FC players will be fired up to face the Oluyole Warriors with all their might in search of their first win of the season.

The contingent of the Owerri club safely arrived Ibadan ahead of the encounter and will have the mandatory one training session at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan by Saturday evening.

The team travelled to Ibadan with a strong squad despite injuries to a few players left out of the trip to continue with their recovery and fitness before the next home game with Niger Tornadoes.

Heartland FC head coach, Emmanuel Amuneke assured that the Naze Millionaires would put up a spirited performance with the desire to go for the three points.

“We are gradually getting into shape and we know in a short while results will start coming,” Amuneke told Heartland FC Media.

“Shooting Stars are a tough side but we know we have a team that can give a good account of themselves in Ibadan. We have a group of young players who are ready to play and we shall need our fans in Ibadan and its environs to come and support us.”
